The demonstrations will be held on Saturdays, July 17, 24 and 31 from 9:30-11 a.m.
WESTFORD, MA — Westford Recycling Commission (WRC) is hosting composting demonstrations for residents on Saturdays, July 17, 24, and 31 from 9:30-11 a.m.
The demonstrations, which will will take place at Old Town Garage on Beacon St., will give locals an opportunity to learn how to properly compost organic material.
According to the commission, up to 20% of the weight of our trash is made up of organic material. Composting diverts food waste from the trash and reduces the high cost of Westford's trash collection, which increased by 9% this year.
