Westford resident Corinne Broderick, Massachusetts Medical Society ExecutiveVP, to Retire in May 2016

Executive retires after more than 30 years with statewide professional association of physicians

Waltham, Mass. – June 4 – Westford resident Corinne Broderick, executive vice president of the Massachusetts Medical Society, last week announced her intention to retire in May 2016, at the conclusion of her current employment contract with the Society, after more than 30 years of service to the organization. For the last 13 years, she has served in her current role, in charge of the day-to-day operations of the organization, which has more than 25,000 physicians and medical students as members.

“It’s important to me that I retire at a time when the organization is in a strong position, and that is exactly where we are right now,” Broderick said in her announcement to MMS employees. “Thanks to you and your hard work, we are poised to do even more great things.”

MMS President Dennis M. Dimitri, MD, said, “Corinne has built a culture based on integrity, excellence and enduring values, earning the respect and admiration of employees and members alike. We have the deepest appreciation for Corinne and her many years of dedicated service to the Society. We wish her the very best in the future.” Dr. Dimitri plans to appoint a search committee next month to begin the process of selecting Broderick’s successor.
