We asked Patch readers what they thought the biggest safety issues were in their town. Here’s a list of the most pressing problems, from break-ins to traffic jams:
- "The Merrill Quarry. Can't you fine trespassers? Any day above 80 the place is crawling with bored kids. Maybe the answer is a public pool and fitness/ rec. center!"
- "More sidewalks and a couple more lights at some of the intersections. Which I believe is already in the planning stages. But other than that I feel about as safe as I could possibly feel here."
- "Westford is safer than where I live."
- "Child pedestrians - inadequate crosswalks and sidewalks"
- "Very safe town except the speed limit on neighborhood roads. 30 mph is way too fast."
- "1. Sidewalks. 2. The rise of mental health concerns in children"
