Westford Road Race is Today; Registration Still Open

The 12th annual Westford Road Race -- featuring a one-mile Family Fun Run, a 5K race, and a 10K race -- will be held at the today at 2:00 p.m.

Registration is still open. You can do so from 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. at the school. The fee is $25.

The race starts at the Abbot School and ends at the . The surrounding area will be shut to traffic from 2-4 p.m.

The 5K and 10K races are sanctioned and certified by the United States Track and Field Association. There is a $150 cash award for the male and female winners of the 5k and 10k.

After the race, there will be a celebration at the town common with free food, raffles, trophies, and entertainment by a DJ.

The event is being organized by the Westford Charitable Foundation. Proceeds will benefit its charitable efforts.
