Westford's NetScout Reports Exceptional Third Quarter

An announcement from the Littleton Road-based company brought a large stock jump and confidence that the company will meet its fiscal year goals.

Various news agencies such as Newsday and the Boston Globe report that Westford’s own Systems Inc. has announced a strong third quarter for its 2012 Fiscal Year, which ended on Dec. 31.

The announcement provided figures of $46 million for product revenue and $37.3 million for service revenue in the third quarter, which according to NetScout president and CEO Anil Singhal is a record quarterly amount and has set the company on track for fiscal year goals.

“We recently completed the acquisition of Simena, LLC, a growing provider of high performance packet flow switching technology, to complement our packet flow based management solution,” said Singhal That solution is based on our Unified Service Delivery Management strategy which is gaining mind share with our customers as we continue to deliver on it through both product enhancements and acquisitions.

Simena is the third technology acquisition made by NetScout this fiscal year, after Psytechnics in April and in October.

The announcement helped NetScout’s stock price surge 17 percent to reach its highest stock price since July 1.
