Westford Falls in Hoops for Hope Title Game
It was close, but Andover narrowly took the title of 2011 Hoops for Hope tournament champion away from Westford last week, 44-40.
Westford’s Lauren Gallant and Andover’s Laura Renfro led all scorers with 12 points each while Illana Cohen grabbed eight points from the charity stripe for the champions.
Westford Waves U10 Falls to Hudson, NH
Although it pales in comparison to the more recent tragedy the team faced this week, the Westford Waves U10 youth softball team lost to the Heat of Hudson, NH 3-2 in the 18th annual Barbara Hamilton Softball Classic in Hudson last week.
