Westford Sportsmen's Club Open House Oct. 4

The free event will feature several animal shows.

This coming Saturday, the Westford Sportsmen’s Club will be holding their annual Open House from 1-4pm. This is a FREE family oriented event with activities for all ages including marshmallow toasting, pumpkin decorating, and hands-on Reptiles on the Move!

There will be several animal shows. Tom Ricardi’s Birds of Prey will be held at 1:45 followed by WolfTalk’s Wolf Show at 2:45. Our very own Westford K-9 and Office Peladeau will have demos along the pond at 1:30pm and 3:30pm.

This year the club welcomes a group of Minutemen for the first time and both the SWAT team and Blacksmith Ray Ciemny will be returning.

Guests will be able to get some hands on experience at the archery range as well as one-on-one instruction on fly fishing and spin cast fishing along the pond. Both the Trap Range and Pistol Range have demos at 1:15, 2:15, and 3:15. The archery range will also feature bow making demos and will have information on Junior Archery at the club.

The WSC is a non-profit organization with over 700 members. The WSC provides several programs of interest to the community including archery courses through the Recreation Department, Home Firearm Safety courses through the Roudenbush, and the annual Fishing Derby. The WSC scholarship fund helps students attend Conservation Camp as well as college. Please visit us at our Welcome Tent to learn more about these programs and the club.
