Westford Willows Rise to Fifth Place

They remain eight points behind the league lead at the halfway mark of the Central New England Baseball Association season.

 

The Westford Willows are now at fifth place in the Central New England Baseball Association with a record of 8-8 following three games over the past week.

While the Willows fell 8-7 at home against the MetroWest A's on Thursday (segments of the game pictured), they were able to bounce back on the road with a pair of 2-1 wins over Ronnie's of Worcester and the Clinton 76ers.

With 16 games left to play, the Willows currently have 16 points, six behind league leading Clinton.

The Willows now begin a homestand this week with contests against Shrewsbury on Tuesday, Lunenburg on Thursday and Chelmsford on Friday before a three-game series with a travelling team from Brooklyn, N.Y. this weekend.
