Westford's Fortress Technologies Acquired By General Dynamics

The Technology Park Drive company will become part of the Scottsdale, Arizona based General Dynamics subsidiary C4 Systems.

Westford’s Fortress Technologies was acquired late last month by Virginia based aerospace contractor General Dynamics for an amount yet to be disclosed.

Fortress, located in town on Technology Park Drive, currently has about 70 employees in Westford and will be folded into Scottsdale, Arizona based C4 Systems , a General Dynamics subsidiary which designs and manufactures communication hardware systems for military and civilian customers.

The Westford company’s products, which include products that facilitate battlefield logistics, are expected to greatly aid General Dynamics overall ability to produce items that will keep them competitive in their field.
