What Did the Westford Board of Selectmen Do This Week?
Here's a quick rundown of what the town's leaders decided to do this week.
The Westford Board of Selectmen’s Action Taken agenda is out. If you missed the meeting, here are some of the things decided by the board on May 13, 2014:
- The board welcomed Don Siriani to the board, who was just elected last week.
- The chairman of the board announced that the town was investigating the dumping of compost at Drew Gardens and that the town would be creating a task force to consider whether or not the town should purchase the property.
- A discussion of sale of alcohol violations was continued until June 24.
- Discussions about a grant agreement with Stony Brook II Common Ground Development and right of first refusal for 64 Main St. were continued to May 27.
- The board approved a license to sell wine at the Westford Farmers’ Market to Westport Rivers Vineyard & Winery, approved a banner for the Westford Health Department’s substance abuse town hall, scheduled for May 19, and also approved permission for the League of Women Voters to serve alcohol in Cameron Senior Center at its annual meeting on June 3.
- Verizon right-of-way easements were approved.
