Pink Ninjas      17

Oranges           10

Despite playing at the early hour of 8 am, both teams were full of energy to keep the score close at the half at 6-4. Maeli Cherry, the pint-sized powerhouse, scored an amazing six points despite suffering an injury and near loss of limb. Shannon Forty and Naqiya Motiwalla both tore up the court on both ends. For the Oranges, Liza “the beast” Bernard played tight defense and kept the Ninjas on their toes, in addition to scoring four points. Katie Long had a fantastic game as well.

Orange Sherbet           23

Murky Water               20

It was a close game but the Orange Sherbet sifted through the Murky Water and pulled out a win! Grace Lohmeier and Danielle LaBarre both demonstrated a tight and aggressive defense. On offense, Caley McKenney couldn’t seem to miss, scoring a whopping 11 points. However, the Sherbet could not have done it without the contributions from Julia Gabriel, Taylor Wedge, and Hannah West.

As for the Murky Water, Hannah Peterson played fabulous defense along with Rupali Shenoy. Their offense was led by Elizabeth Ellis, putting up a total of 12 points and Haley Crogan with five points. Overall, the Murky Water and the Orange Sherbet were two well-matched teams and played a tough game of basketball.

Christmas Trees           40

Flaming Maroons        23

Once again, the Christmas Trees had a fantastic game. Claudia Ruble made many steals and had great assists. Clare McCord’s defense was very well executed. Julia Libby and Hannah Kruger were leading scorers with 12 points apiece. Julia Devlin and Kate Coffey had a great offensive game. On the Flaming Maroons, Juliette Noone scored 10 points and Briana Dilworth had a great offensive and defensive game. Both teams did well and it was a very high scoring game.

Pink Ladies     32

Minty Fresh     10

The Pink Ladies were led by Catherine Crimmins and Morgan Dougherty on defense while Beth Geraghty, Alyna Baharozian, and Abby Wood were strong on offense. The Minty Fresh were led by Jordan Underwood and Leah Gibson.

Blue Ice           23

Red Rockets   20

An exciting second half featured a strategic battle that left the Blue Ice slightly ahead of an evenly matched Red Rockets team. For the Red Rockets, Mara Burke led the offense with support from Claire Enos and Megan Lawlor. Blue Ice was hot on offense with high scoring from Leah Donovan and Jacqui Andry. The Red Rockets second half zone defense cooled the scoring pace, but the Blue Ice’s patient passing game was enough to secure the lead and the win.

Purple Platypuses        27

Longhorns                   23

The Purple Platypuses withstood a late surge by the Longhorns and secured a hard-fought victory. Sarah Kinney led the offense with Nicole Camara supplying steady support. Lauren Flynn contributed mightily on defense. Issy Feehrer and Sindhu Kosuru helped rule the boards. Megan Carney helped snuff the Longhorn rally. Taylor Vanaria and Jordan Bunker led the Longhorn offensive charge. Julia Waszak and Rachel Bielen played stout defense.
