You Are Invited to an Art Opening - Sunday!
Gallery 529, of Littleton, cordially invites you to its opening reception for the Nashoba Valley Artists, Sunday, June 14 from 4 -6 pm Free!

Nashoba Valley Artists will have their work on display as Artists of the Month at Gallery 529 in Littleton throughout the months of June and July, 2015. A reception to meet the artists will be held on Sunday, June 14, from 4pm – 6pm. The reception is free and open to the public.
Nashoba Valley Artists is a group of local painters who meet weekly to paint and learn from each other. Members include Barbara Badsubner, Valerie Baier, Nancy Dey, Shirley Man, Peg McWade and Ellen Todd, who will display watercolors. Barbara Badstubner and Peg McWade will also hang some work in oil. The group’s paintings include land & sea scapes, botanical and still life subjects.
Barbara Badstubner, of Groton, descends from two generations of artists, and has been painting for nearly 20 years.She has studied under several area art teachers and in workshops from Maine to Cape Cod. Her work has displayed in juried exhibits and in other area shows.

Valerie Baier, of Groton, has been painting for eight years, and has formerly painted and exhibited in Falmouth, MA. She has studied with artists on the Cape and in Middlesex County. One of her paintings hung in a juried show in Falmouth.
Nancy Dey, of Ayer, has been painting since the 1950’s. She is a former member of the Casco Bay Art League. Although Nancy paints on traditional watercolor paper, she also paints on “YUPO,” a paper with a glossy, plastic finish that does not absorb the paint, giving these paintings additional vibrancy.

Shirley Man, of Groton, is a former member of the Studio Guild in Winchester, MA and the Harbor Watercolorists. She has exhibited at several local venues including The Old Mill in Townsend and the Nashoba Valley Medical Center.
Peggy McWade, of Groton, has dedicated most of her life to studying and working in various art media. She is a graduate of the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and has continued to study and improve her skill. Peggy has exhibited in several local shows, including juried shows at the Concord Art Association. She has many professional affiliations, including being a member of the Painters Guild and the Lexington Society of Arts & Crafts.
Ellen Todd, of Groton, has studied design principles at the Landscape Institute of the Arnold Arboretum, and has studied painting with local artists, including at the Decordova Museum and at Fruitlands. She has exhibited with Nashoba Valley Artists and had a one-person invitational exhibit at the Narthex Gallery of the First Parish Church of Groton. She participates in the Artists Circle at the Cataumet Art Center on Cape Cod.
The show will be up through July, and then a juried show “Discovery” follows. Come enjoy the show on Sunday and then make dinner reservations at Act III to follow. Act III will be having its weekly Sunday Jazz Jam. It should be a true celebration of the arts - culinary, visual, and musical!
