WATER – WHAT?
Water is the essential component of the human body as it provides an important role in the function of cells. Important functions include transportation of nutrients, elimination of waste products, regulation and maintenance of body temperature through sweating, maintenance of blood circulation and pressure, lubrication of joints and body tissues, and facilitation of digestion. More than half of the human body is composed of water, and it is impossible to sustain life with out it (ACSM.ORG) . If you know me, you may ALWAYS here me reply to various complaints of aches, pains, and lethargy with "Well, have you drank enough water?" Water is what rules us especially during exercise. Please read here on how to regulate water intake during exercise. This means that you should be drinking all day long. Day in and day out. Yes, that’s right folks. Many of my clients mention they are sick of water and tend to revert back to old habits of drinking diet sodas, juices, and sports drinks instead of water. Where there is something to be said that they do add fluid to your body but they also add more calories and sugars that one could avoid. In fact, I just got the "It is tasteless, YUK" comment this morning. I immediately thought to myself, here comes another Skinnyschool challenge... the "Soda & Juice Re-Do" challenge. Here is a quick and simple way to revamp a simple glass of water and make it fun and different.
Add the following to your fresh ice water:

-Cucumber & Mint
You may also want to try using a sparkling water with fresh citrus over grabbing a soda.
