3 Attacked Man With Ash-Tray, Wood Block: Cops

WEYMOUTH, MA — An attempted burglary resulted in a man getting attacked with an ash-tray barrel and a block of wood, police say.

Stephanie Anne Scammell of Whitman, Courtney M. Santos of Rockland, and Kelsey M. Senna of Weymouth, all 20, were arrested Sunday and charged with armed burglary and conspiracy, according to the Patriot Ledger.

Police say the three drove to a Filler Street home to confront a teenager, but instead attacked her boyfriend, who answered the door. The three allegedly kicked and punched the man and used the ash-tray and wood as part of the attack.

The three were arrested as they attempted to flee in a car without headlights on. They were due in Quincy District Court.
