5K Road Race Held in Memory of Former Murphy School Student
The "In Memory of Me, Tanner B" Road Race begins and ends Saturday at the Murphy School.

The Weymouth community will hold an a 5K road race and mile fun run this Saturday in memory of a Murphy School student who died to young.
The benefit run will be held in memory of Tanner Barbara, who passed away unexpectedly at the age 8.
All of the money raised will benefit the Tanner B. Foundation.

Pre-registered runners can pick up numbers and t-shirts on Friday from 3-7 p.m. at the Greater Boston Running Company at the Derby Street Shoppes.
The races begins at 8 a.m. at the Murphy School and pre-registration begins at 6:30 a.m. The cost for adults is $25 and $20 for youths under 12. The mile run only cost $15, $10 for children 12 and under.

Barbara is the son of John and Becky, brother of Evan and Dylan, and friend to all at the Murphy School.
The race was designed because Tanner was a very active kid who was always moving.
