Truck Stalls On Tracks, Hit By Commuter Rail In Weymouth
Trains along the Kingston/Plymouth line were delayed Monday morning.

WEYMOUTH, MA – An pickup truck was hit by a Commuter Rail train in Weymouth Monday morning, according to MBTA spokesperson Joe Pesaturo. The truck was abandoned when it was hit by an outbound train near the South Weymouth station.
Trains on the Kingston/Plymouth line experienced significant delays. Shuttle buses took passengers to Braintree to connect with the Red Line, the MBTA said.
Officials told the Boston Globe that the truck's owner was driving it to a repair shop about 20 yards from the tracks when it stalled at the crossing. Transit Police and Keolis, the operator of the commuter rail, were not altered to the truck.
