Aggressive Driver Crashes, Faces 2nd OUI: Cops

WEYMOUTH, MA — An Everett man crashed into the guardrail after trying to aggressively pass another driver, police allege.

John Wise, 26, was arrested by Weymouth Police early Saturday morning and charged with his second drunken driving offense, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of a crash, and marked lanes violation. He was scheduled to be arraigned in Quincy District Court, according to the Patriot Ledger.

A caller told police that a driver was aggressively tailgating her while she was near Seach Elementary School. The driver, identified as Wise, allegedly tried to pass her by crossing the double-yellow line, but lost control and crashed into the curb and a guardrail.

Police say Wise yelled at the driver of the other vehicle when she went to check on him and drove down the street.

No injuries were reported.
