“He has the feeling that the world is against him,” Peter J. Fellman, Gardner's court appointed attorney, said, according to the Boston Herald.
Earlier this month, the Weymouth Police Department announced that Gardner was released from prison and had moved back to town. The Plymouth County District Attorney later said human error was the reason why Gardner wasn't civilly committed when he was released.

Three days after police announced Gardner's return, he received a summons for violating an ordinance in Quincy that bans sex offenders from libraries without permission from the library.
Gardner was arrested at a shelter in South Boston on Oct. 14.
