South Weymouth, MA – Some of South Shore Health System’s littlest babies were born to be Patriots fans!

Newborns in the Level II Special Care Nursery at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth were given Pats-themed hats and colorful sports attire in support of our favorite football team. Some of their tiny outfits were from Build a Bear Workshop – the perfect size and fit for the little fans!

With the help of her mother, Mallory Decas, a registered nurse at the hospital sewed 16 of the custom-made hats in preparation for the Super Bowl.

“Once we learned the Patriots were headed to the Super Bowl, we went straight to work on making the hats,” said Decas. “I think for the parents, this helps create a sense of normalcy. A lot of people like to dress their babies up for special occasions and events. This helps our parents feel a sense of normalcy in an otherwise stressful time in their lives.”

According to the Special Care Nursery nurses, the little fans are dreaming about a sixth championship win!
