Boston Man Charged in Fatal Crash Held on Bail

Francisco Gomes, 30, was charged in Quincy District Court.

A Boston man charged in a deadly car crash Saturday night was arraigned in Quincy District Court Tuesday.

Francisco Gomes, 30, was charged with motor vehicle homicide by reckless operation, operating to endanger, marked lanes violations, and speeding. He was ordered held on $25,000 bail according to the Patriot Ledger.

At around 11:52 p.m., police responded to the crash near Middle and Lake Streets. According to police, the vehicle, which had four occupants, struck a utility pole.

Three people in the car were taken to South Shore Hospital while one person, a 29-year-old from Boston was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Gomes is due back in court on Nov. 5.
