Boston Man Charged with Vehicular Homicide in Weymouth

A Boston man is in police custody after a fatal car crash in Weymouth Saturday night.
Francisco Gomes, 30, was arrested and charged with motor vehicle homicide by reckless operation, operating to endanger, marked lanes violations, and speeding.
At around 11:52 p.m., police responded to the crash near Middle and Lake Streets. According to police, the vehicle, which had four occupants, struck a utility pole.

Three people in the car were taken to South Shore Hospital while one person, a 29-year-old from Boston was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Gomes is currently being held on $25,000 bail.
