Boston Man Indicted on Weymouth Child Rape Charges

Michael Pelrine, 51, was indicted last week and will face charges in Norfolk Superior Court.

WEYMOUTH, MA — A Boston man is facing child rape charges for multiple alleged incidents that took place since 2009.

Michael Pelrine, 51, was indicted last week on three counts child rape aggravated by age difference, three counts of rape of a child with force, two counts of indecent assault and battery on a child, witness intimidation, and open and gross conduct, according to the Patriot Ledger. He was ordered held on $25,000 cash bail at his arraignment in Quincy District Court.

The indictment moves the case to Norfolk Superior Court in Dedham. He faces an arraignment in the higher court at a later date.

Details of the alleged charges are impounded.

If Pelrine posts bail, he must wear a GPS monitor, stay away from the alleged victim, and stay away from all children under the age of 18.
