SME’s Certified Manufacturing Associate is an industry certification focused on basic manufacturing concepts. This program will cover fundamental topics such as shop math, assembly, maintenance, machining, inspection, and more.
If you are new to manufacturing or have been recently hired by a manufacturing employer, then this program is for you! This certification will demonstrate your potential for high-demand, entry-level manufacturing roles. It is taught in English with English language learning supports.

Who Should Take This Program?
Unemployed, dislocated workers, individuals coming from other non-manufacturing sectors, or those who are new to the manufacturing industry and wish to pursue a role as an assembler, manufacturing associate, production laborer and other entry-level manufacturing occupations.

What to Expect
This program is hybrid with in-person classroom instruction and live Zoom sessions. Students will receive coaching, curriculum support, as well as hands-on training.
Program Timeline
Orientation Sessions on July 12 and July 14
Program starts July 19, 2022
Program will be held three nights per week and run through November 2022 (Exact dates and times will be announced soon).
