Driver Charged with Drugged Driving Following 4-Car Crash
Police say the driver suffered an overdose just before the crash.

WEYMOUTH, MA — A man suffered a heroin overdoes while driving, causing a four-car crash Thursday night that injured a small dog, police said.
William Simpson, 53, will be summonsed to court at a later date on charges of drugged driving, operating a motor vehicle to endanger, leaving the scene of property damage, and a marked lanes violation, according to the Patriot Ledger.
Following the crash, police found Simpson and a passenger in the vehicle unconscious. Responders administered Narcan to reverse the overdoes and the two were taken to South Shore Hospital.

At the hospital, the passenger admitted that they both snorted a line of heroin before driving.
The crash caused a four-car pileup and injured a dog, police said. The dog is expected to survive.
