FBI Report: How Much Violent Crime Happened in Weymouth in 2014?

The FBI recently released its annual ”Crime in the United States” report, which includes information about Weymouth

According to the report, Weymouth saw 134 violent crimes in 2014. Violent crime includes offenses involving force or the threat of force: murder and non-negligent manslaughter, rape, robbery and aggravated assault, according to the FBI.

There were 12 reported rapes, 16 robberies, and 106 aggravated assaults.

Other crime stats for Weymouth include 528 larcenies, 117 burglaries, 32 motor vehicle thefts, and three cases of arson.

Nationally, violent crime decreased nationally last year by 0.2 percent from 2013, according to the report.
