Advanced Manufacturing II

50 Hour Certificate Program
High School Seniors & Adults of All Ages
(You do NOT need Advanced Manufacturing I to take this program)
Location: South Shore Technical High School

A study of industrial machine tool methods. Includes writing job sheets, estimating machining time, tool and cutter grinding, doing jig bore work, heat-treating, fabricating jigs and fixtures, use of all machines in the shop and final inspection


Metal Fabrication (Welding)

100 Hour Certificate Program
High School Students & Adults of All Ages
Location: South Shore Technical High School

· Develop a basic understanding of MIG, stick and oxy-fuel welding processes
· Develop a basic understanding of all welding equipment
· Analyze the environment and materials used in the welding process in order to determine potential safety hazards
· Demonstrate welding skills using the process which meets local industry needs
· Ten Hour OSHA Course
· Welding Math, weld symbols and print reading

Industrial IoT (Internet of Things)

60 Hour Certificate Program
High School Seniors & Adults of All Ages
Location: Cape Cod Community College, Plymouth Campus

Customized digital electronics maintenance program designed to prepare individuals for sustaining, high-skilled positions in the area of applied electronics, meeting the need of regional employers. The program may be expanded to fulfill a need in specific topic area, based on immediate industry need. Focus will be placed on applied electronics to prepare students for positions in emerging industries: Consumer Product Repair, Energy and Power Generation, Marine, Digital Manufacturing, Robotics and Manufacturing Automation, Avionics, Technical Sales, Software Development and Testing, Automotive (gas and electric vehicles).


These opportunities provided by MassHire South Shore Workforce Board through the support of a Manufacturing Training Grant provided by the Executive Office of Housing and Economic Development
