Goat Video Played for Weymouth Stabbing Grand Jury

Kevin Sullivan allegedly stabbed a person in Weymouth because he took a video he saw about a goat named Kevin as an insult.

WEYMOUTH, MA — A video about a goat named Kevin was recently played for the grand jury for a stabbing involving a man named Kevin.

The Gary the Goat Facebook page, which published the original video, posted a message from the stabbing victim telling him that the grand jury watched the video and had a hard time holding in their laughter.

"Because I'm the one who shared the video on Facebook, the district attorney played your video on a large television for the 23 grand jury members as evidence to receive the indictment. It was extremely awkward because we were all strangers, but every single person there, including myself and the district attorney, were hysterically laughing. One woman was laughing so hard she started to cry and had to excuse herself after to compose herself," the message read.

In May, 28-year-old Kevin Sullivan was charged with stabbing a man. The victim's girlfriend at the time said Sullivan was mad over a YouTube video she shared about a goat named Kevin. In the video, the goat acts in a disrespectful manner toward other goats. Sullivan did not take kindly to this, thinking it was an insult towards him and meant he was a bad father, according to a police report.

Sullivan was originally arraigned in Quincy District Court but the case is now in Norfolk Superior Court. No word on the date for his superior court arraignment.
