Gov. Baker Says Weymouth Compressor Station Decision Is Up To Feds
Baker said on WGBH that the state's role in the process is small.

WEYMOUTH, MA — Governor Charlie Baker says his role in the process that could result in a compressor station to Weymouth is not that big.
During his “Ask The Governor” segment on WGBH, Baker said the decision on whether the proposed station from Spectra Energy can be constructed on the Fore River in North Weymouth is made on the federal level.
“The state has a minor role to play, but in the end, if the federal government believes that certain energy capacity decisions with respect to transmission are in the national interest, it’s their call,” Baker said on WGBH.
