How Many People Voted in the 2015 Weymouth Town Election?

Facing their third trip to the polls since August, Weymouth voters did not shy away from another election.

Tuesday night, 13,512 voters filled out ballots in the 2015 Weymouth Town Election. According to the Boston Globe, the turnout rate was about 40 percent.

In the mayoral race, change was in the air as two-term Mayor Susan Kay lost to state Senator Robert Hedlund 3,977 to 9,381 according to the unofficial results.

Town Councilors Robert Conlon, Jane Hacket, Brian McDonald, Michael Molisse, and Patrick O’Connor were all successful in their election bids as were school committee members Tracey Nardone and Gail Sheehan. Challenger John Sullivan won the third committee seat up for election.
