Police Find Insane Amount of Cocaine in Abandoned House

No way it's over $1 million worth" you might think...

QUINCY, MA — About 37 kilos of cocaine was found inside an empty apartment on Hancock Street in Quincy, authorities said.

Thursday, state and Quincy police seized a large amount of cocaine worth $1.5 million and a shoe box containing $65,000, according to the Norfolk County District Attorney's office.

“The cocaine was in an apartment that was un-occupied and appeared to be abandoned at 2 Hancock Street,” District Attorney Michael Morrissey said in a release.

Morrissey said the drugs were found during a joint investigation between the Quincy Police Department and the Massachusetts State Police drug unit. The apartment was empty and no arrests have been made.

The investigation is ongoing, the DA's office said.
