LISTEN: Boy, 5, Calls Cops on Dad for Running Red Light

QUINCY, MA - A Quincy boy dished out some tough love last week when he called the police on his dad for running a red light.

“Every day we answer numerous 911 calls. Often times, these calls are from individuals who are in need of immediate assistance. Sometimes, it's a simple misdial. Then there's Robert's 9-1-1 call,” the department wrote on Facebook.

The Quincy Police Department on Wednesday released audio of the five-year-old boy, identified as Robert Richardson by WHDH, calling 911 to report his dad. In the audio from May 28, the boy tells police that his dad ran the light while on his way to a car wash.

The dispatcher asked to speak to Robert’s father, who apologized for his infraction before the dispatcher ended the call.
