Man Arrested In Weymouth On Gun, Drug Charges: MSP
The man was stopped on East Street Sunday by state police.

WEYMOUTH, MA – State police arrested a man and charged him with gun and drug offenses after he was pulled over Sunday in Weymouth. Jonathan Mena-Hernandez, 31, of Dorchester, was stopped on East Street at 7:50 p.m. after alleged traffic violations, state police said.
Troopers found a .380-caliber 9mm handgun with the serial number removed inside the car, according to a police statement. Mena-Hernandez also had substances believed to be cocaine and marijuana, police said.
Mena-Hernandez is not licensed to carry a gun in Massachusetts. He was charged with possession of a firearm with a defaced serial number, possession/carrying a firearm, possession of a firearm without FID card, improper storage of a firearm and possession of a Class B and Class D drug.

He was held overnight on $10,000 bail and arraigned Monday in Quincy District Court.
