Man Wanted In Weymouth Armed Robbery Arrested In Duxbury

WEYMOUTH, MA — A man wanted in Weymouth was located and taken into custody in Duxbury, police confirmed.

Michael Sheehan, 31, was arrested on a warrant for failing to appear in court on several charges including armed robbery, aggravated assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, kidnapping, witness intimidation, according to the Duxbury Police Department.

At about 4 p.m. Friday afternoon, Weymouth police requested assistances with locating Sheehan, who was believed to be living with a relative on King Philip's Path in Duxbury. About two hours later, Sheehan was spotted by police near the home. When police attempted to make contact, the suspect allegedly fled into the home and refused to answer the door.

At 8:30 p.m., officers entered the home and found Sheehan in the basement. He was taken into custody without resistances.

He is behind held at the Plymouth Country House of Corrections.

Officers from Marshfield and Pembroke assisted at the scene.
