Quincy Man Charged With OUI In Weymouth MBTA Bus, Motorcycle Crash

Police are investigating an overnight crash in Weymouth.

WEYMOUTH, MA – Police are investigating an overnight crash in Weymouth involving a motorcycle and MBTA bus, police said. The crash occurred at the intersection of Washington and Broad Streets Sunday night.

At 9:44 p.m., officers responded to the area for a reported crash involving a motorcycle and a bus. A preliminary investigation by the Weymouth Police Department indicates that two motorcycles were travelling North on Washington Streets when one of the motorcycles struck the rear of an MBTA bus.

The operator of the motorcycle that struck the rear of the MBTA bus, a 25-year-old North Quincy man, was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

The operator of the other motorcycle, Alexander A. Thomas, 24, of Quincy, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of alcohol. Thomas is due to be arraigned in Quincy District Court today.

The crash is under police investigation.
