Mental and Physical Health Facility Opens on South Shore

The center offers counseling, attention deficit disorder evaluations, mindfulness meditation, yoga, nutrition counseling and more.

A mental and physical health facility that works to improve the health and wellness of its patients announced its grand opening on Tuesday on the South Shore.

The Center for Integrative Counseling and Wellness, 62 Derby St. in Hingham, offers services ranging from traditional psychotherapy and psychiatry to holistic approaches including mindfulness meditation, yoga and nutrition counseling.

“Good physical and mental health are the foundation of everything we do in our lives,” said Dr. Barbara Green, Ph.D., co-founder of the Center for Integrative Counseling and Wellness. “Yet, often we don’t pay attention to our physical health until we are sick, and we may ignore mental health problems because of social stigma.”
