Motorcyclist Injured After High Speed Chase

Police are looking for a second motorcyclist involved in the chase.

One person was injured after a high-speed chase through Weymouth,

The Patriot Ledger reports that the chase began around 6:10 p.m. Thursday when a pedestrian reported two motorcycles that had license plates that were bent up and covered.

Officers caught up with the motorcycles near Route 18, but both vehicles took off when police attempted to pull them over. One motorcycle crashed into a house, knocking down a pillar.

Police have not released the name of the rider yet since he has not been issued a citation, but he will be charged with operating to endanger, failure to stop for police, speeding, marked lanes violation and wanton destruction of property more than $250.

While the second rider got away, police are hoping they will turn themselves in.
