MSBA Approves Chapman School Feasibility Study
The feasibility phase will address the structural and educational needs of the school.

WEYMOUTH, MA - The Chapman School renovation project is on to the next stage with the approval of the Mass. School Building Association.
This week, the Weymouth Public Schools announced that they have received approval from the MSBA to move to the feasibility phase to address the structural and educational needs of the school.
The proposal was first developed more than a year ago by a school district team that included district and building administrators and staff, according to the school district. The approval of the feasibility study is one of the first steps of the process and will look at the structural and educational needs of the middle schools, the anticipated growth of the student population and the long-term needs of the Weymouth schools community, according to a release from the Weymouth Public Schools.

A school building committee is expected to be formed in the next few weeks.
The study will be funded through an agreement with LStar and reimbursements from the state through the MSBA. It is anticipated that these reimbursements will allow the town to recover any money spent on the study.
