Near Crash At Weymouth Line Leads To Drugged Driving Charge

ABINGTON, MA — Reports of a man driving erratically on Christmas Eve led to charges for a Bridgewater man.
Bryan Lambert, 49, was arrested at the Weymouth-Abington line and charged with drugged driving, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and marked lanes violation. He was arraigned in Brockton District Court Tuesday and released on personal recognizance, according to the Enterprise.
At about 10 p.m., police received reports of a vehicle being operated in an erratic manner and a near head-on crash on Bedford Street in Abington. Responding officers allegedly saw a vehicle driven by Lambert swerving on the road before stopping him just past the town line.

Police allegedly found a lighter, pink packet and a marijuana pipe in the car. Lambert allegedly admitted to smoking synthetic marijuana while at a red light.
Lambert was taken into custody after failing a series of field sobriety tests.

He is scheduled to return to court Feb. 2.
