Nearly 3 Dozens Break-ins Reported Across Quincy and Weymouth

The break-ins have been occurring over the past five days, police said.

WEYMOUTH, MA — Residents in Quincy and Weymouth are being advised to lock their car doors after nearly three dozen car break-ins were reported in the two towns in the past five days.

The first report of break-ins came Saturday night when the Weymouth Police Department posted on their Facebook page that several unlocked cars were broken into during the overnight hours. By Wednesday morning, 36 incidents were reported, according to the Patriot Ledger.

Police say the stolen items include cash, wallets, laptops, jewelry, cell phones and small electronics.

Police believe the break-ins in the two towns are not related, but Weymouth police did receive a report of someone pulling on car doors during the overnight hours.

No arrests have been made.
