New Allegations For Weymouth Man Facing Child Porn Charges

Joseph James, 39, was arraigned in Norfolk Superior Court in Dedham on a count of child pornography possession.

WEYMOUTH, MA — New charges have been filed against a Weymouth photographer who is already facing allegations that he raped a child.

Joseph James, 39, was arraigned in Norfolk Superior Court in Dedham on a count of child pornography possession. He was previously charged with four counts of enticing a child under 14 and eight counts of raping a child more than 10 years younger than him. His bail was raised from $75,000 to $80,000, according to the Patriot Ledger.

Authorities say James had a months-long sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl he met on Facebook in 2016. Police began investigating James once the victim's parents became aware of the relationship. The girl told police that she lied to James about her age, but they continued to have sex after he learned she was 15.
