WEYMOUTH, MA — One person was taken to the hospital following a car crash Monday night. At around 9:30 p.m., Weymouth fire responded to a single-car crash on Shea Memorial Drive near Union Point. Weymouth Deputy Fire Chief Tom Murphy <a href="http://959watd.com/blog/2017/01/weymouth-single-vehicle-crash-at-union-point-injures-1-person/" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">told WATD</a> that a Jeep struck a light pole while driving towards Route 18. Another responder said the driver was going at least 60 mph and was not wearing his seat belt. The driver was taken to South Shore Hospital with moderate injuries.
