Pamela O’Leary Joins South Shore Peer Recovery Board of Directors

South Shore Bank Chief Operating Officer (COO) Pamela J. O’Leary of Weymouth has been elected to the Board of Directors for South Shore Peer Recovery, headquartered in Scituate. A dynamic workplace leader who gives back to the community, O’Leary will provide leadership and strategic direction to the organization based on her business, operations and information technology experience. O’Leary will work to strengthen South Shore Peer Recovery’s reach and impact during a time when support for those seeking recovery from substance abuse is critical.

O’Leary has a strong focus on internal and external relationship building that will allow her to positively impact the nonprofit organization in many ways. As a member of the executive team at South Shore Bank, O’Leary is instrumental in developing, prioritizing and executing the bank’s strategic goals, including innovations in the systems, processes, talent development, sales development and transformational evaluations of processes utilizing technology that enhances its long-term objectives.

“The addiction crisis impacts each and every aspect of our communities on the South Shore and beyond,” said O’Leary. “I am eager to utilize my professional skills and experience to help people realize a full and sustained recovery. People in recovery need support and empathy and I am proud to serve with South Shore Peer Recovery as we work as a community to help people live their best lives in recovery.”

O’Leary is active in giving back and sharing her knowledge throughout the community. She is a member of Fiserv Corporation’s Strategic Planning Council for more than 14 years and also serves on the Board of Directors for South Shore Health System, Fairmount Cemetery, and also will serve as the Chair of the Development Committee for South Shore Peer Recovery. She is also a past member of the South Shore Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the Norwell VNA Board, and the Massachusetts Bankers Technology Committee. She has been a speaker for Women in Banking Conferences and the FFIEC in Washington, D.C.
