WATCH: Weymouth Man Falls on Face During Sobriety Test
Thomas A. Mohan is charged with hitting a pedestrian while driving under the influence of alcohol.
WEYMOUTH, MA - A Weymouth man struck a pedestrian while driving drunk, police said.
Thomas A. Mohan, 51 was placed under arrest at South Shore Hospital and charged with operating under the influence of alcohol with negligent operation causing serious bodily injury, operating under the influence of drugs, negligent operation, and marked lanes violations.
At about 12:51 p.m., police responded to a report of a pedestrian who was hit by a vehicle. A preliminary investigation indicates that a driver struck another vehicle and a pedestrian, who was identified as a 39-year-old Weymouth man.

The victim, Mohan, and the second driver were all taken to South Shore Hospital. The victim is being treated for serious life-threatening injuries
During his arraignment at South Shore Hospital, Mohan pleaded not guilty to the charges, according to the Norfolk County’s District Attorney’s office. He was ordered held on $15,000 bail but will be held 90 days without bail for violating a restraining order out of Hingham District Court.
