Police Arrest 2 on Counterfeiting Charge
Both suspects are scheduled to be arraigned in Quincy District Court.

A pair of Weymouth residents used counterfeit bills while at a local fast food restaurant, police said.
Stanley B. Wood III, 35, was charged with six counts of uttering a counterfeit note, possession of a counterfeit note, possession of counterfeit equipment, and forgery of a document. His girlfriend, Katie Brewster, 32, was charged with forgery of a document and receiving stolen property according to the Weymouth Police Department.
On New Year’s Day, police received a report of a male who allegedly passed counterfeit money at McDonald’s on Main Street. When officers arrived, the manager identified Wood as the person who allegedly used a fake $20 bill. Police also learned that he allegedly passed other bills on previous days.

When officers examined the bills, they were determined to be counterfeit.
More counterfeit bills were discovered on Wood after he was arrested with real currency he received as change. When police questioned Brewster, she denied any involvement, but removed counterfeit bills from her pocket and turned them over to the officers.

Numerous items related to illegal counterfeiting including cutting instruments, counterfeit prescriptions, and sheets of partially forged bills were found by police during a search of their room.
The two are free on bail and are scheduled to be arraigned at Quincy District Court on Monday.
