Police Chase Ends With Arrest in Weymouth
Robert Gunderson, 38, faces multiple charges after the chase.

A Hingham man who attempted to run away from police in Hingham and Weymouth is now facing multiple driving charges.
Robert Gunderson, 38, was arrested early Wednesday morning and charged with failure to stop for police, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, operating recklessly to endanger, resisting arrest, a marked lanes violation, and speeding.
At 5:10 a.m., an officer attempted to pull over Gunderson on Whiting Street. According to Hingham police, the car stopped briefly before driving away. The car then drove down Pleasant Steet in Weymouth, crashing on the sidewalk.

Gunderson allegedly fled the scene, but police were able to find him with the assistance of some citizens who saw Gunderson. The suspect was apprehended after a Hingham K9 located him hiding in a deep thick bush.
No other cars were involved in the incident.
