Police Log: Assault on a Police Officer, Shoplifting, and More

July 24

8:19 a.m. - Anthony Miller, 20, of Weymouth, was arrested at the Weymouth Police Department in Winter Street on a warrant.

6:51 p.m. - Marcus Godfrey, 35, of Weymouth, was arrested and charged with shoplifting by asportation, malicious damage of a motor vehicle, and assault and battery on a police officer.

July 25

9:14 a.m. - A 38-year-old from Weymouth on Middle Street was taken into protective custody.

12:13 p.m. - David Foley Jr., 33, of Rockland, was arrested at Wal-Mart on Middle Street and charged with shoplifting by asportation.

5:19 p.m. - During a motor vehicle stop on Washington Street, Leon Jarvis, 30, of Randolph, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and speeding.

7:52 p.m. - During a motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Evans Street and Stratford Road, Ryan Flynn, 28, of Quincy, was arrested and charged with failure to signal, possession of a class B drug, and possession of an open container of alcohol.

9:01 p.m. - During a motor vehicle stop on Middle Street, Andrew DaSilva, 26, of Rockland, was arrested and charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, excessive noise from a motor vehicle, and operating a motor vehicle that does not meet the safety standards of the RMV.
