Quincy, Wareham Men Charged with Selling Fake Stanley Cup Tickets
Police say the two men were selling counterfeit tickets outside the Consol Energy Center.
QUINCY, MA - Two men from Massachusetts sold counterfeit Stanley Cup tickets outside the home of the Pittsburgh Penguins, police said.
Ronald Seeley, 45, of Wareham, and John Green, 46, of Quincy, were arrested by police in Pittsburgh and charged Wednesday with forgery, tampering with evidence and conspiracy, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
Wednesday morning, police received a tip that two men were selling phoney tickets near the arena. Prior to game 2 of the finals, police found the two men leaving a car. After pulling the vehicle over, officers recovered torn up fake tickets and cash, according to a criminal complaint.

One witness said the men offered to sell him six game 1 tickets for $200 each. Upon seeing the tickets, the witness knew they were fake.
The price was below the cheapest ticket for game 1 of the Stanley Cup, which was $255, according to the Post-Gazette.
