Quincy, Weymouth Women Charged in Quincy Purse Robbery

WEYMOUTH, MA — Two men have been arrested in connection to an unarmed robbery that took place this week.

Cheryl Whittemore, 46, of Quincy and Jennifer Hill, 44, of Weymouth were arrested Wednesday in Weymouth charged with receiving stolen property. Both are scheduled to be arraigned in Quincy District Court Thursday.

On Monday at about 10 p.m, police responded to an unarmed robbery City View Lane. The victim, a 25-year-old woman, told police she was walking from her vehicle to the front entrance of her apartment building when she was approached by the suspect, who attempted to grab her pocketbook. Following a short struggle, the suspect allegedly struck the victim in the face, took her pocketbook, and fled in a black vehicle.

Police say they anticipate further charges will be filed against the two.
