Roxbury Man Charged with Dealing Heroin in Weymouth

A heroin distribution investigation by police in Weymouth has resulted in the arrest of a Roxbury man.

Alexander Suazo, 20, was arrested Tuesday and charged with distribution of heroin, possession with intent to distribute heroin, conspiracy to violate the drug laws, and drug violation near a school/park, according to a press release from the Weymouth Police Department.

At 10:45 a.m. Tuesday morning, detectives began to watch Suazo, who was operating a silver minivan in East Weymouth. While watching him, police observed him conduct what appeared to be drug transaction on Essex Street. Police then continued to follow him as he travelled to Constitution Avenue in South Weymouth.

Police say they saw Suazo conduct another drug transaction on Constitution Avenue. When officers approahed a male who was part of the alleged deal, he admitted to buying heroin from Sauzo.

Sauzo was taken into custory during a stop on Main Street by Charmada Road.

Detectives recovered several additional knotted bags of heroin that were hidden inside a chewing gum container inside his vehicle as well as several hundred dollars in cash.

Sauzo was released on personal recognizance and is due to be arraigned Thursday in Quincy District Court.
