Quincy Man Wanted for Attempted Murder

QUINCY, MA - An active arrest warrant has been issued for a Quincy man wanted for attempted murder.

Austin Avelar, 29, is additionally wanted for assault and battery with a deadly weapon and assault with intent to rob, according to the Quincy Police Department.

Police say the charges stem from a March 9 incident on Grander Street. Avelar and the victim knew each other and police do not believe the public is at risk.

Avelar is described as a white male, 5'10", 180 pounds, brown hair, and brown eyes.
